This equipment consist of horizontal cylindrical vessel dished on both ends, having fixed head and retractable shell, both are coupled by locking arrangement. Filter leaves are mounted on centrally located rotating common manifold. After the filtration batch is over, hold up slurry can be drained out and filter leaves are rotated at slow speed, while hot water / clear slurry can be sprayed through the spray nozzles over the filtration surface to dislodge cake. Conveyer at the bottom passes the thick slurry along with cake to the drain. This called slurry cake discharge. Wet cake discharge also possible with scraper assemblies.
This way cake can be dislodged without opening the filter.
Closed and compact operation, the operation can be totally automatic. The lid gaskets, ‘O’ Rings can be provided with Neoprene/Nitrile/EPDM/Viton/Silicon/PTFE Seals.
Product contact parts and product non-contact parts can be made out of CS/SS 304/SS 316/SS 316 L/MSRL cloth enveloped filter elements for minimum capital investments.
The major advantage is cake can be dislodged without opening the filter, and restart the next page.
This equipment is friendly operated, and made to save a lot in operating cost, compared to conventional Plate & Frame Filters, RVDF.
